For those who don't know him yet, we want to tell you a little bit about him. He has been in the education field for 13 years, and for the past 6 years, he has been a dedicated counselor. He has been a part of the LVJH family for 5 years! 🏫 And now he's taking on the role of Assistant Principal.😎

BIG BEAR NEWS! Today we celebrate 8th Graders, Alana Garcia and Payton Dodson who will receive their letterman jackets by qualifing for State with a CDE Team. They are the first 8th graders in the LVFFA program to earn their letter! Both young ladies had to beat out several other students at the JH and HS level to do so. Alana made the Milk Quality & Products team and Payton was on the Nursery/Landscape Team. They came in multiple times a week for practices at the high school as early as 7:15AM. They both had to memorize over 250 questions to test on in the contest along with their own individual contest parts. Great job representing La Vernia and La Vernia ISD ladies!!! (PS: The black letter jackets are for fittings only. They will receive there LA VERNIA BLUE jackets next school year!!!)

The La Vernia High School Color Guard will be holding an interest meeting tomorrow, April 30th, from 5:00-7:00pm in the band hall. If your student is interested in joining the State Champion guard for the 2024-25 season, please have your student come to the band hall from 5:00-7:00pm tomorrow to check it out. If your student knows they want to be a part of the guard next year, please make sure to send an email to Mr. Claus or Ms. Fey to let them know you would like for them to have their schedule changed accordingly. 📢 We are excited to announce that La Vernia ISD is welcoming a new Junior High Principal, Mr. Bryan Caughlin.
🎓 With 19 years of experience in education, including 10 years as an administrator at various levels, Mr. Caughlin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our school. The last two years, he has served as an Assistant Principal at Samuel V. Champion High School in Boerne ISD and has now chosen to join the LVISD family.
🎓 Mr. Caughlin is a proud graduate of Baylor University and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
👨👩👧👧 Not only is Mr. Caughlin committed to his career, but he is also a devoted husband to his wife, Season, who is also an educator and coach with Comal ISD. Together, they have two daughters and enjoy supporting them in all their school activities. The Caughlin's reside here in La Vernia, Texas.

San Antonio Rd Gate
Good afternoon. We wanted to make all parents aware that the gate on San Antonio Rd, by the park, will be closed due to high water today during the Junior High dismissal. We appreciate your patience as we work to get all of our students safely picked up and home.
