We’re excited to welcome our students back for another great year! Returning student registration for the 2025–2026 school year is now open, and we encourage all families to complete the process as soon as possible.
Why register early?
Early registration helps our campuses plan for staffing, classroom assignments, and resources so we can provide the best possible experience for every student.

If you are new to LVISD, registration will begin May 30th.

Graduates of 2025 (or Parents/Guardians of Graduates): It's time for your student's graduation photo to appear in the Wilson County News! PLEASE fill out the short bio for you/your student on the La Vernia graduate section of the Wilson County News/website before May 16th by 5pm. Graduation photos will be provided by the high school. Ads/payments/and additional photos are OPTIONAL and paid to WCN, not LVHS. If you do not fill out the bio information, your student's photo will appear with their name only. If you have any questions, please call the counseling office at the high school at 830-779-6630.

Here's a SWEET bit of information for you! During today's lunches in the cafeteria, students were able to win coupons for a Free Medium Slush from Sonic! Just a note: the date on the coupon says it expires December 31, 2024, but Sonic's manager has assured us that the coupons will be honored. Yay for slushes!
The ALE classes went to the Poteet Special Olympics on April 4, 2025. They participated in field events such as javelin, shot put throw, softball throw, tennis ball throw, long jump, and running events. These kids are winners every day, but especially this day! Congratulations, students!

Friday, April 4, 2025, will be a regular school day to make up for the instructional time lost during the ice day on January 20, 2025. LVISD will utilize the first allocated inclement weather make-up day on the 2024-2025 calendar.
❗ It is crucial for all students to attend on this make-up day to ensure they do not miss important instructional time. The missed day in January impacted valuable classroom learning, and this make-up day provides the opportunity to stay on track with the curriculum and academic progress. Every day of instruction counts toward preparing students for their academic goals, so attendance on April 4th is essential.
